Association “Integro” is a non-government private volunteer organisation incorporated under the Not-for-profit Legal Entities Act. It was registered on 05.12.2000 at the Razgrad Regional Court. Its founding members are 21. Its latest re-registration was on 18.09.2002.
The Association’s major aim is the overall integration of the Roma from the rural areas in public life and the establishment of conditions for preserving and development of the ethnic and cultural values of the community.
It was established as a response to the major need to overcome the deepening isolation of the Roma in villages and to improve the quality of their lives.
The name “Integro” is composed from the first letters of the word “integration” and “Roma”. The network of local non-government organisations “Association Integro” adopted this name.
Management bodies of the Association - General Assembly – collective supreme body of Integro;
- Manager – management body;
- Control Council – control body.
Programme and expert councils can be formed at the General Assembly’s decision to support Integro’s programmes implementation, to develop opinions on specific problems, to discuss and evaluate projects and tasks related to the Association’s activity control and monitoring.

Integro’s aims are: 1. Overall integration of the Roma from rural areas in public life.
2. Establishment of conditions for preserving and development of the community’s ethnic and cultural values.
Main tasks for the attainment of the aims:
1. Support and assistance for the improvement of the social and economic status of the Roma community.
2. Active work for raising the educational level of the Roma.
3. Establishment, maintenance and development of information data bank concerning the solution of the social and economic problems of the Roma community in the Vetovo municipality: demographic data, statistical rates (social, economic, educational, health, etc.); data on the social welfare and health insurance mechanisms; data from sociological research, reports and analyses; marketing research, information on programmes related to the structural reforms in the economy, education and health care; data on the government and municipal land fund.
4. Creating of possibilities for the access to the information bank of government bodies, representatives of the Roma community, public organisations and companies both from Bulgaria and abroad working on resolving the problems connected to the social and economic progress of the Roma.
5. Elaboration of projects and programmes for the improvement of the social, educational, ethnic and cultural progress of the Roma.
6. Assistance and support in the elaboration and implementation of projects for the development of independent Roma businesses in manufacturing, services and trade.
7. Promoting the activeness of the rural Roma in the field of land distribution, registration of farmers and setting up of private farms.
8. Elaboration of programmes for organising of various forms of training and consultations to representatives of the community with the aim to:
• getting acquainted with the basic human rights (children’s rights included);
• getting acquainted with the regulations in the field of the Bulgarian social, health, labour, educational and administrative legislation;
• development of entrepreneurial skills.
9. Protection of its members’ rights through overall assistance and support.
10. Establishment and development of internal and international contacts and cooperation with other similar organisations and participation in meetings with them in relation to the Association’s activity.
11. Popularizing through the media and any other way Integro’s activity with the aim of the future integration of all Roma in the public life.
